Developed a bag feeding subsystem for an automatic sandbag filling machine by Brigade Automation (BaggerBot). Exceeded project sponsor expectations by achieving 220% increase in speed and 95% reliability.
Designed and fabricated a prototype filament recycler - accepts shredded 3D prints (PLA, PETG, ABS) and extrudes recycled filament for printing use. Achieved consistent temperature control of +/- 0.5°C under required budget of $400.
Designed, 3D printed, and assembled a model crane capable of 3 degrees of freedom. Controlled via remote control for user interaction and uses various sensors to display feedback (load weight and boom angle).
Utilized MinSeg to create a self-balancing robot by deriving appropriate electromechanical equations and modeling them within MATLAB and Simulink. Successfully tuned control system parameters to develop balancing abilities and minimize drift.
Designed and fabricated a universal bicycle speedometer with the use of rapid prototyping, National Instruments (NI) myDAQ, LabVIEW, and a hall effect sensor. Successfully demonstrated the measurement of RPM, velocity, and total distance traveled using LabVIEW's front panel.
